Marketing, Communications & Website Information

The Marketing & Communications Manager position was newly created in May, 2018, and is responsible for administrative and marketing duties for the City of Moriarty’s online presence as well as marketing the City's facilities and venues.  This position will work closely with businesses and marketing members of the City of Moriarty such as Lodgers’ Tax Advisory Board and for the promotion of tourism.

[add historic U.S. 66] Moriarty is a favorite stop for thousands of people as they travel Historic Route 66 through New Mexico, America’s Land of Enchantment.  Because of its convenient central location Moriarty is truly the “Crossroads of Opportunity,” particularly the opportunity to experience a vast array of history and entertainment.

We are the gateway to the Salinas Pueblos Missions National Monument and just a short drive to Tinkertown Museum, Bandelier National Monument, Bosque del Apache, Pecos Historical Park, The Museum of Archaeology and Material Culture and the Wild West Nature Park!  Located a scenic half hour’s drive from Albuquerque, and just under an hour from Santa Fe, Moriarty is the perfect respite from the hustle and bustle of those big cities.

There is also a lot to see and do right here in Moriarty!  Visit our world class Southwest Soaring Museum, visit the National Memorial of Perpetual Tears, learn all about us at the Moriarty Historical Museum, and sip a cold ginger ale at the local brewery.   Try a glider ride at the Moriarty Municipal Airport and you’ll understand why we are the ‘Soaring Capital of the World’!

Heritage Rodeo Arena has hosted dozens of events in recent years and continues to be a growing part of the community.  Thrill to the action at the nearby motor cross track that hosts hundreds of cyclists throughout the racing season.  Join us in October for the Estancia Valley’s most beloved traditions.  Celebrate the harvest at the Pinto Bean Fiesta, take a hay ride and pick your own pumpkin, or become a “Punkin Chunker” at the local pumpkin patches.

We want your Events

As cited on the New Mexico Tourism Department Website

“New Mexico is a cloud perched on a mesa top, a road that disappears into magical, red hills, the play of shadows on a mountain side.  It is farmers, cattlemen, scientists, engineers, business people, artists, writers, and dreamers; speaking in many languages, coming from many cultures.

The power of New Mexico is, and has always been, its people, living together in a lovely, yet challenging environment, influenced by a blend of languages, traditions and lifestyles.  Indeed, the beauty of New Mexico – emerging from her history, architecture, art forms and community festivals – is unlike any other place.”

Please send your events! We want to provide a link to the events happening in and arounnd our city.  A photo gallery will be created from photos received and included on this page in the future.   Let’s show the world what makes our area so special!  We want photos that show people and scenery ---“sight doing” not just “sight seeing.”
